MongoDB ODBC Driver

Download and install the MongoDB ODBC Driver for BI Connector for your platform.

Create a System DSN

Open ODBC Data Source Administrator.

Windows ODBC Data Source Administrator

Select the System DSN tab and click the Add button.

Select MongoDB ODBC 1.0 ANSI Driver from the list of available drivers.

The Unicode driver supports a wider range of characters than the ANSI driver.

The following form fields are required:

Field Name Description
Data Source Name A name of your choice.
TCP/IP Server Enter the Hostname specified in the Atlas connect dialog.
Port Enter the Port specified in the Atlas connect dialog.

Enter either the user specified in the Atlas connect dialog or a different MongoDB user for the cluster.

The user is specified in the format:

where the <database-name> is the authentication database for the user. If admin is the authentication database, you can omit ?source=<database-name>.

Password Enter the password corresponding to the entered User.
Database The name of an existing database to which you want to connect.

For example, populating the fields using the Atlas provided information:

ODBC driver configuration.

Click the Test button to test the ODBC connection.

If the connection is successful, click OK to add the DSN. If the connection fails, check the MongoDB user credentials and the IP whitelist.

Connect from Qlike Sense Desktop

Start Qlik Sense Desktop.

Start the Qlik Sense desktop application.

Create a Data Connection to the BI Connector for Atlas.

  1. Click Create a New App.

  2. Enter a name for the app and Create. If created successfully, Open app.

  3. Click Add data from files and other sources.

  4. Select ODBC from the list of data sources.

  5. In the Create New Connection window, in the System DSN, select the DSN that you created earlier.
